canning the soup
We can the soup in glass jars for healthy reasons.
Glass is BPA free: We don't want to give you added hormones that are present when food is stored in most forms of plastic.
Glass jars are reusable: We are a sustainable organization. Our glass jars can reused to minimize waste. Each participant is asked to wash and return finished jars of soup back to Organic Soup Kitchen.
Storage: By canning our soup, it can safely be stored in a cool dry place for up to a year.
